Estates Management

Horncastle Allotments

The Horncastle Allotments are situated behind Churchill Avenue (off Boston Road). There are 61 plots in total of varying sizes (as full plots become vacant they are being split in half to enable more people to have allotments).

Rent of new plots is £20 a year (runs from January to December) with a £45 deposit which is returned once the plot is given up provided it has been left free of weeds and debris and ready to re-let.

If you wish to rent one please contact the Town Council office in person, via email or phone.

The Town Council runs a Best Kept Allotment competition each year. This is generously supported by Wyevale who provide a gift voucher for the best kept allotment and Maurice Dunk who gives up his time to judge the allotments. The shield and gift vouchers are presented to the winners at a Council meeting in the Autumn each year.

Three allotment holders regularly meet with the Estates Management Committee to discuss any issues.

Horncastle Cemetery
